Section 6 – Carriage Ride Experiences

Participation

Carriage rides are offered seasonally and are subject to availability, weather conditions, and the welfare of our animals. Reservations are strongly recommended to secure your spot.

Health and Safety Requirements

Participants must be able to safely board and ride in a carriage. Norsk Farms reserves the right to deny participation to any individual whose physical condition may pose a risk to themselves or others. We kindly ask that guests with the following conditions consult their physician before booking:

  • Pregnancy
  • Back, neck, or spinal conditions
  • Heart conditions or recent surgery
  • Any condition that may be aggravated by movement or outdoor activity

Weight and Physical Limitations

Please contact us in advance if you have any questions about physical requirements for our rides. We reserve the right to limit ride capacity at any time to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers and the well-being of our animals.

Liability Disclaimer

Please Read Carefully

Carriage riding is an outdoor activity that involves live animals and carries inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with carriage riding, including but not limited to: falls, sudden stops, unpredictable animal behavior, uneven terrain, and weather conditions. Norsk Farms, its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from participation in carriage rides, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Waiver

All carriage ride participants — or their legal guardians, where applicable — may be required to sign a liability waiver before boarding. If a participant or guardian declines to sign the waiver, Norsk Farms reserves the right to deny participation. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

Minors

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. The accompanying adult assumes full responsibility for the minor's safety and compliance with all ride rules and staff instructions.

Conduct

All participants are expected to follow safety instructions provided by Norsk Farms staff. Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior — toward staff, other guests, or animals — may result in immediate removal from the activity. No refund will be provided in such cases.

Section 7 – Animal Welfare

Norsk Farms is deeply committed to the ethical treatment and welfare of all our animals. Our animals are partners in the experiences we offer, and their health and safety always come first.

  • Carriage rides may be cancelled, shortened, or modified at any time if we determine it is in the best interest of our animals — including decisions made due to extreme heat, cold, poor ground conditions, or animal health.
  • Guests are expected to treat all animals on the property with kindness and respect.
  • Harassment, teasing, or mistreatment of any animal on our property is grounds for immediate removal from the premises without a refund.
